The federal lawsuit, filed Thursday, says Trump sat in the White House and did nothing to stop the Jan. 6, 2021, riots, and instead encouraged the mob to continue the violence.
Khater pleaded guilty on Aug. 26, 2022, to assaulting, resisting or impeding officers by using bear spray, the suit states. Tanios pleaded guilty on July 20, 2022, to entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds.
