President Trump falsely claims mothers and doctors are legally 'executing' babies, and his rally crowd goes wild
Donald Trump has told a campaign rally in Wisconsin that mothers and doctors are “executing” their own babies as soon as they are born.
Trump said: “Your Democratic governor here in Wisconsin shockingly said that he would veto legislation that would protect Wisconsin babies, born alive. — rafael shimunov April 28, 2019 The president was taking aim at the state’s Democratic Governor Tony Evers, who recently announced he would veto a bill that could imprison doctors who don’t provide medical care to babies born alive after a failed abortion attempt.
Trump’s use of the word “execute” and his less-than-accurate portrayal of an abortion drew wide condemnation.
