Former President Donald Trump rushed to Ken Paxton’s defense minutes after the Texas House overwhelmingly voted to impeach and immediately suspend the three-term attorney general from office.

“I understand that people are concerned about Ken’s legal challenges. But the courts should sort them out,” Cruz tweeted. The five Republicans that make up Collin County’s GOP delegation defended their votes to impeach Paxton. Paxton lives in the county in the city of McKinney.
