Owners of some Google Pixel smartphones are reporting that certain YouTube videos are causing their devices to crash, reboot and, in some cases, lose cellular service., the problem only occurs when using the official YouTube app, rather than a third-party app or browser. Comments on the YouTube video echo these concerns, with several Pixel 7 users, and some using the Pixel 6, suffering from problems. Non-Pixel phones seem to be unaffected....
Many other Pixel users, on the other hand, are able to view the video with no problems. This was also the case for me, so I’m unable to verify or diagnose any issues for now. Some users unaffected by the problem claim to be running the latest beta version of Android, so it’s possible that the bug is confined to particular software versions.
