PETALING JAYA: Norshahrul Idlan Talaha has achieved it all in Malaysia. And the striker decided to expand his horizons by heading to Thailand earlier this year.

The mercurial player has only started three times and has spent most of his time on the bench this season.

“Our players are too comfortable with their big salaries. If you want to play in Thailand, salary should not be your priority. Former Johor Darul Ta’zim defender Dominic Tan and ex-Pahang striker Mohamadou Sumareh are also plying their trade in Thailand, with both playing for Police Tero.“My salary is low compared to what I received in Malaysia, but I’m enjoying this league. The team and people here are so supportive, ” said the Terengganu-born player nicknamed Mat Yo, who has played for Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Felda United.

“I’m not guaranteed a first-team spot at the club because sometimes I do not fit in with their tactics. My contract will end in December and I don’t think I will extend my stay although I love it here.
