Dolly De Leon continues to take over the world!
The top Filipina actress was chosen to be a part of Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales panel. In her latest Instagram post, she posed wearing a chic black and white polka-dotted dress, heels, and had a black leather Miu Miu purse.
According to the luxury fashion house, Women’s Tales is a “short film series hosting conversations and screenings in Mayfair, London.”“So much more than a talented team that creates an experience with the obvious—this look and a slew of others—also lending a loud voice for women that needs to be heard and seen through our lenses,” she said.
“What a joy and privilege to be part of such a relevant undertaking,” she added. “Talked about ‘Protagonists: On-screen, Off-screen and Behind the Scenes’ with these powerful women [who] made the experience even more special.” Dolly’s fellow speakers were BAFTA and Golden Globe winner Samantha Morton, and Filipina filmmaker Isabel Sandoval.for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for “Triangle of Sadness.”
In the Palme d’Or winning film, Dolly played Abigail, a feisty toilet manager whose survival skills make her lead a group of shipwrecked survivors. The dark comedy also received an eight-minute standing ovation at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
