The couple are set to tie the knot later this year
Ex- 2FM star Doireann Garrihy has headed off “for a trip of a lifetime” with fiancée Mark Mehigan – weeks after quitting the station.
She said she is looking forward to a change but is equally nervous for what's to come. Taking to Instagram to share their excitement, the couple shared: "The day has come. Feeling extremely grateful to be heading away on the trip of a lifetime. We can roast the suitcases later.
"I’ve been nervous about it, because I’ve just never done that length of a stint away before. There’s of course these kinds of feelings like “at this age and stage of my life, is this the right thing to do. But I just think I’ve really reached the point now where there’s no time like the present”. It comes after the 32-year-old hosted her final 2FM Breakfast show with Donncha O’Callaghan and Carl Mullan on Friday, May 31, after five years at the station.
