KOTA KINABALU: It was a fur-ly adorable sight when over a hundred dogs were taken for a charity walk to raise funds for a shelter for strays on Saturday (July 9).
Despite a drizzle, these pets marched on with their owners for the event held starting around 7am, where they walked about 3km from the Inobong Hall in Penampang district near here.
“I am also on a mission to start a shelter for strays in Penampang and I hope this charity walk would kick start the donations,” said Dr Randolf. At the event, he said a total of 108 people registered for the walk, while there were also those who chose to purchase merchandise without walking their dogs to contribute to the cause.
“There are many irresponsible owners who abandon their pets when they feel that they cannot take care of them anymore, or don't want to take care of their pets,” he said.
