Unidentified remains of a male were found Monday in an Anniston creek, near the intersection of F Street and Noble Street, police say.
The body was located in around six inches of water and had been there for “a while,” Sgt. Jason Hawkins said. Anniston police will send the body to the Alabama Department of Forensics Science for further identification and a full autopsy, Hawkins said. Until that report comes back, Hawkins said the department is at a “standstill.”
