The Nesbitt family was taking their trash out in Adams County on Wednesday, when one of the garbage bags was “breathing.”
ADAMS COUNTY, Ohio - A chihuahua tossed into a dumpster by his owner could go back to the same home.The Adams County Dog Warden is holding on to Ollie for now.
Ashley Nesbitt said Ollie was lethargic and appeared to be overheated. Neighbors began cooling him down.“My first thought [was] that they had found a baby or child in the dumpster, and so a bit of panic set in. As a mom, that was my first thought. I was scared to death," she said. Stewart told Local 12 his family is in the process of moving, and that he accidentally tripped over the dog.“I understand I didn’t handle it the correct way. Like I said, I used poor judgment. Just in the moment, I wasn’t thinking clearly," Stewart said.
