John Pesutto is urging Daniel Andrews to release a report into a second injecting room location in Melbourne, demanding broader transparency for anxious businesses that could be impacted by the facility.

recently emerged that the contentious room could be located within the Salvation Army buildingThe state government earlier this month flagged that Ken Lay’s report will be released in “due course”.It was commissioned to provide advice"on establishing a medically supervised injecting service trial in the City of Melbourne".

“I am very concerned about the proposal for the Salvation Army headquarters to be the host for the second drug injecting room,” he said. “It just doesn’t make any sense. In fact, no location in the CBD where you’ve got hundreds of thousands of people coming to the city every day. Ms Capp on Wednesday said traders in the city were filled with"angst and anxiety" amid continued uncertainly about where the government will land on the facility.

A review into that site, which is located next to a school, made ten recommendations and found the trial saved 63 lives.
