The Los Angeles Dodgers will aim for their fourth consecutive series win on Sunday when they conclude their three-game set against the host Kansas City Royals.
The Dodgers matched their season high with seven extra-base hits in a 9-3 rout of the Royals on Friday. Los Angeles hitters have rounded into form, led by All-Star Mookie Betts, who announced Friday that he would participate in the 2023 Home Run Derby in Seattle.
"He's a game performer," Roberts said. "I could be proven wrong, but as long as he keeps hitting homers for us, I'll take that." He won his only start against Kansas City on Aug. 12 of last year, surrendering one run on two hits over 6 2/3 innings. Current Royals' hitters are hitless in 15 combined at-bats against Gonsolin.
