KUALA LUMPUR: An understanding of the doctrine of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy can be an ‘anchor’ in creating a stable government, says Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah.
Sultan Nazrin said it could also help create a government with a transparent and an excellent governance culture, thereby gaining the people’s confidence, acceptance and support.
Sultan Nazrin said this when launching the book"Kedaulatan Malaysia: Governan Utama Negara” written by law lecturer of the International Islamic University of Malaysia’s International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation, Associate Prof Datuk Dr Wan Ahmad Fauzi Wan Husain, here on Saturday .
According to Sultan Nazrin, the constitutional monarchy is capable and willing to fulfil its responsibilities by playing the check and balance role.
