Saskatoon police say the incidents took place between 2008-2021. In total, computers, electronic equipment and over $3,000 was stolen.
According to a release, officers responded to a break and enter at a business in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue North on May 5, 2021, where approximately $11,000 of merchandise had been stolen. On July 26, 2008, police were called to Primrose Drive for a break and enter. Arriving officers found the front door damaged, a cash register pried open and a small amount of cash taken. Officers were able to collect a small amount of DNA at the scene that was unidentifiable at that time.Article content
Police say similar incidents took place in July and November 2012, July 2014 and August 2020, with small amounts of DNA collected each time. On Oct. 23, 2022, DNA was collected from the man and confirmed by the RCMP forensic lab to be a match for the DNA collected in the previous break and enters.
