The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Tuesday said it will extend assistance to the bereaved family of a Filipina domestic worker who was found dead in Hong Kong.

“We are one and condole with the family and wish to guarantee and provide them assurances of support,” Cacdac said.

According to JP Soriano's report on "24 Oras," the overseas Filipino worker was said to have asked for leave from her employer so she could go out on her day off on Sunday.Citing reports, the DMW said it was the OFW's employer who reported to the police that she was missing. Hong Kong authorities informed the Department of Foreign Affairs and the DMW of the discovery of the remains.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
