Filmmakers can build customized setups using the four core DJI components: LiDAR rangefinder, motor, handle, and handwheel.
has unveiled a range of new products to enhance the filmmaking experience, including the DJI RS 4 series stabilizers and the DJI Focus Pro lens control system. The RS 4 and RS 4 Pro stabilizers upgrade DJI’s renowned stabilization capabilities. They boast new features for a smoother workflow: a native vertical shooting mode for social media content, an upgraded leveling system for steadier footage, and improvements that double operating efficiency.
The modular DJI Focus Pro system caters to individual needs. Filmmakers can build customized setups using the four core components:recognition algorithm for precise focus tracking and enhanced LiDAR performance. Focusing distance for people triples to 20 meters, and the number of range measurement points surges by 77% to a substantial 76,800.
Focus control is also versatile. The system supports collaborative AMF mode, three-channel lens control for focus, focal length, and aperture adjustments, and a magnetically dampened handwheel for a smooth, tactile feel. Filmmakers gain valuable focus assist information through the LiDAR oscilloscope, including subject identification, real-time focal plane prompts, and a distance ruler.
The Focus Pro integrates seamlessly with existing DJI equipment like Ronin stabilizers, DJI Transmission systems, Ronin 4D, and Inspire 3, allowing for effortless integration into current workflows. The system comes in two bundles: the Creative Kit and the All-Round Set. The Creative Kit, ideal for solo shooters, includes the LiDAR rangefinder, handle, and motor, offering on-screen operation, automatic lens calibration, and Bluetooth recording control. The All-Round Set adds a handwheel for focus pullers to precisely control focus, focal length, and aperture during collaborative shoots.
