Who’s your favorite villain of the Disney Star Wars era? I’ll wait…
that essentially by default, Ahsoka was now leading the Star Wars universe, as there does not seem to be a coherent plan for future content outside of her timeline. Just more disconnected stories and rumored movies . Here, Ahsoka is leading the Mandalorian/Boba Fett timeline and we finally have true, master villain to contend with in the form of Thrawn. In terms of ranking the best Star Wars vilains, I have to believe it goes Vader, Palpatine, Thrawn.
We only have one more episode where Thrawn will appear, and that’s kind of a problem. We have had Dave Filoni reveal the fact that he’ll be making an Mando/Ahsoka crossover film with presumably Thrawn as the big bad, but it’s unclear when that will happen. A second season of Ahsoka, and possibly some Thrawn integration into The Mandalorian itself would be welcome. He’s incredible, use him for more than a few parts of three episodes and a movie X amount of years into the future.
Seeing Thrawn onscreen has been a moment 30 years in the making. So far, it’s living up to the hype, and I hope we see much, much more of him to come.
