The voices of many disco hits in the '70s through the '90s are touring together with a Saturday show at the Hobby Center
"Honey, if I tell you there are so many songs in this show," Wash says."It's like 35 songs. Remembering things, remembering times, remember people that they were around during those specific times in their lives."
Wash in particular has a storied catalog that she had to fight to get credit. For years, her vocals were used in huge pop hits without her permission or proper credit. She was replaced in music videos by models and denied royalties solely because she didn't fit the image labels wanted to present to the public. Wash sued and helped create legislation that made it mandatory to credit performers on songs and in music videos.
Clifford began perform in New York at four years old, landing spots on TV shows such as Macy's"Star Time" and"The Merry Mailman" with Ray Heatherton. She had small roles in the films"The Boston Strangler,""Coogan's Bluff" and"Sweet Charity" before switching to music.
