DILG distributes 56 new firetrucks to various LGUs

DILG has distributed 56 brand new fire trucks to various local government units (LGUs) across the country to boost their respective firefighting capabilities and response to emergency cases. ManilaBulletin

In a statement on Sunday, July 9, DILG Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. said each firetruck cost P14 million.

The Bangsamorro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and Metro Manila got one firetruck each while the Cordillera Administrative Region received two firetrucks. Abalos noted that the distributed firetruck units were among the 94 firefighting vehicles 1000-capacity fire trucks that were part of the 2022 procurement plan of the BFP.
