PETALING JAYA: Wesak Day celebrations this year face difficulties due to the Covid-19 outbreak, says Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin but he hopes the occasion will be one that strengthens family ties.
PETALING JAYA: Wesak Day celebrations this year face difficulties due to the Covid-19 outbreak, says Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin"I want to wish happy Wesak Day to all the Buddhists who are celebrating.
"This year, Wesak Day is being celebrated in a challenging situation because we are currently in the conditional movement control order as we try to curb Covid-19 but I believe those who are celebrating will still be able to celebrate Wesak Day with their families," he said in his Wesak Day message on his Facebook page on Wednesday .
"It gives me great pleasure to send greetings to all Malaysian Buddhist friends who will be celebrating Wesak tomorrow.
