F2 Logistics head coach Regine Diego has heard everything people can say about her middle blocker Majoy Baron -- that she's starting to age and she's already past her prime.
Through all of that, Diego never lost faith in Baron and now she's reaping the fruits of that belief as the latter is having herself a rejuvenated play in the ongoing PVL Invitational Conference.'Of course, I'm very happy for Majoy because I know a lot of people are saying that Majoy doesn't have it anymore, that she's getting old, bla bla bla... I never really cared about that,' said Diego.
Baron scored 11 points in F2's 21-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-21, 18-16 win against Choco Mucho on July 11 and 16 points in F2's 25-20, 22-25, 12-25, 35-33, 9-15 loss to Petro Gazz on July 13.Then, the 5-foot-11 volleybelle dropped 12 points in the Cargo Movers' 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 triumph over Foton on Tuesday, July 18, a win that sealed their semifinals spot in the conference. Foton improved to 4-1, good for the top seed in Pool B as of posting time.
