“Nakipag-coordinate na po kami sa DOJ para nga po mag-set up nitong one-stop-shop sa malalayong lugar kung saan maaaring i-secure ng ating mga kababayan 'yung kanilang NBI clearance na puwede po nilang magamit sa pagpaparehistro ng kanilang SIM card,” Lamentillo said.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology on Thursday said it is planning to use the one-stop-shop of the National Bureau of Investigation for SIM registration in remote areas.

“Nakipag-coordinate na po kami sa DOJ para nga po mag-set up nitong one-stop-shop sa malalayong lugar kung saan maaaring i-secure ng ating mga kababayan 'yung kanilang NBI clearance na puwede po nilang magamit sa pagpaparehistro ng kanilang SIM card,” she said. A total of over 21.782 million of the 168.977 million subscribers nationwide have registered so far, according to Lamentillo.
