Blum was the chairman of an equity investment management firm, Blum Capital Partners, and a member of the University of California Board of Regents. He was also the founder of the American Himalayan Foundation, which aids communities in the Himalayan region with education, healthcare, and more. "His compassion and devotion to the people of the Himalayan region may prove to be his most enduring legacy," Feinstein wrote."We have a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Dick, we love you."
