Gereja di Myanmar menyambut 10 paderi baru dan seorang diakon sebagai berkat bagi minoriti Katolik di tengah-tengah konflik yang dipicu oleh rampasan kuasa oleh pihak junta pada Februari 2021.

Ratusan umat Katolik berserta ahli keluarga para paderi baru yang ditahbiskan itu bergabung dalam Ekaristi Kudus. Dalam homilinya, Uskup Hla menggesa para paderi baru untuk mendengarkan pesan Kristus Raja dan memenuhi keperluan rohani dan jasmani umat, terutama para pelarian. “Anda dipilih oleh Tuhan menjadi seorang gembala, maka berusahalah memenuhi keperluan rohani dan jasmani para pelarian,” tambahnya.
