Utility crews are working to restore power to thousands of North Texas affected by Thursday’s severe weather.
Most of the outages at this point are in the western counties. Tarrant County has more than 96,000 outages as of 6:25 p.m., and about 8,600 customers are without power in Parker County.Collin County has more than 5,500 outages.
Oncor made extra resources available Thursday in anticipation of possible tornadic activity but said flooding or other challenges could cause delays. "We appreciate your patience as we work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power," the company said on its website.
