Dewan Rakyat to discuss EPF savings as collateral proposal
The Dewan Rakyat will discuss the proposal to allow Employees Provident Fund contributors to take bank loans using their savings as collateral today. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 21, 2023.
According to the order paper on parliament’s official website, the matter will be raised by Muslimin Yahaya in a question to the prime minister during the minister’s question time. There will also be a question from Cha Kee Chin to the prime minister on whether Lim Guan Eng , during his tenure as finance minister from May 2018 to February 2020, cancelled the tax exemption for Albukhary Foundation, and if he did, to give the reasons for doing so.
