: Dewan Rakyat hari ini meluluskan Rang Undang-Undang Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 2024 bertujuan memastikan kesiapsiagaan negara menangani ancaman penyakit berjangkit.
“Bayangkan sekiranya rakyat tidak memandang berat terhadap undang-undang berkaitan pengawalan penyakit berjangkit, ini akan mengakibatkan penularan jangkitan berterusan hingga menyebabkan kejadian wabak atau pandemik, keperluan kemasukan ke hospital dan Unit Rawatan Rapi yang tinggi serta mengakibatkan peningkatan kadar kematian.
Lukanisman berkata jumlah RM5,000 yang diperuntukkan adalah had maksimum dan kompaun sebenar dikenakan akan mengambil kira tahap keseriusan kesalahan supaya ia seimbang dan adil.
