LEEDS, England (Reuters) - Derby County roared back from a two-goal aggregate deficit to defeat Leeds United 4-3 over two legs as a 4-2 away win on Wednesday secured their spot in the Championship playoff final against Aston Villa.
With a place in the Premier League at stake, Leeds took the lead in the 24th minute when Kalvin Phillips launched a free kick into the box which bounced out off the post and Stuart Dallas reacted well to slot the ball home from close range.
A minute after the interval Mason Mount put Derby 2-1 up with a fine finish after a clever touch from Harry Wilson, who made it 3-1 on the night with a 58th-minute penalty.
