Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi unveiled five key objectives aimed at boosting the Rural Development Ministry's (KKDW) impact on the rakyat. The targets include elevating rural entrepreneurs to a global level, increasing Orang Asli participation in higher education, and expanding Islamic education programs through the continuity of the Kemas Pre-Tahfiz Program.
BALIK PULAU : Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hari ini menggariskan lima sasaran utama yang diyakini dapat meningkatkan keberkesanan agenda Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah di mata rakyat.
“Kalau tahun lalu, seramai 446 anak Orang Asli berjaya memasuki universiti. Maka, tahun ini, saya mahu melihat sekurang-kurangnya 500 orang lagi berjaya ke universiti dan mengikuti program TVET@KKDW. Beliau yang juga Menteri Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah berkata demikian dalam ucapannya ketika Majlis Makan Malam Pemukiman KKDW 2025 di Teluk Bahang di sini, malam ini.
“Kita mahu sektor pertanian desa berkembang menjadi tulang belakang kepada agenda keterjaminan makanan negara,” katanya.
