“I can't tell when this can be achieved, but we will continue to fight for our rights as long as there are sun and moon,” she said during a question and answer session in the Sarawak Legislative Assembly here. Sharifah Hasidah said that the state government has proposed to the federal government additional seats for Sarawak and Sabah representation in Parliament up to 35 per cent.She said the Inter-Governmental Committee Report clearly stated the intention to work out the future constitutional arrangements including safeguards for the special interests of the Borneo states which covers such matters as representation in Parliament and religious freedom.
