IPOH: A deputy minister and a Perak state executive council member have come under fire for having a meal at a Maahad Tahfiz school in Lenggong during the movement control order (MCO).
The posting on social media by some Perikatan Nasional members has drawn criticism from internet users.
The exco member had posted on his Facebook that they were served “kampung” dishes during the event held at the school. The photos showed there were at least between 20 and 30 people who were seated on the floor having their meals.People have been asking if they would be charged for defying the MCO, just like the other citizens.
Perak police have yet to issue any statement on the matter, and the exco member cannot be reached for comments.
