Deputy Minister: Aide who succumbed to Covid-19 seemed well when I last saw him

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Jaimin Samitah, who passed away from Covid-19 on Monday (Aug 9), appeared well when his Datuk Guandee Kohoi last saw him in Parliament.

He said Jaimin, his special functions officer, had taken a swab test after the Parliament sitting and tested negative for Covid-19, but took a second one later."I tested negative twice and am now back in Kota Kinabalu, self-quarantining for safety's sake," Guandee said."I didn't expect to hear of his passing so fast," he said, adding that Jaimin was buried in Cyberjaya on Monday.

Tuaran MP Datuk Seri Madius Tangau posted on his Facebook page that the late Jaimin was easy to work with and friendly, but strict when it came to work and when things needed to be done.
