DISCOVERY BAY – Deputies shot and killed a person Tuesday in Discovery Bay, authorities said.
According to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were “handling a domestic situation when a subject with a gun came at them forcing them to discharge their firearms.” “Officer involved shooting protocol has been invoked,” the sheriff’s office said in a tweet. “Investigation is ongoing.”
Additional details about the fatal shooting, including the time and location, were not immediately available.
