NEW: Police on Monday shot a suspect near West Bowles Avenue and South Pierce Street outside Littleton, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced on Twitter.

Denver police officers on Monday shot a suspect in a Jefferson County park, authorities announced on Twitter.

The shooting took place at Robert F. Clement Park, in the 7300 block of West Bowles Ave., which is down the street from Columbine High School, police said. The incident did not involve any schools, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter.Related Articles
