Barbara Lee emphasized that they are far from alone, explaining that"in the past year, I've heard from countless parents that just having an extra $250 to $300 per month often meant the difference between keeping food on the table or going hungry, making rent, or getting evicted."
While not calling out Manchin by name, Mary Kay Henry of the Service Employees International Union made a clear reference to his obstruction Friday, highlighting that his opposition is at odds with the needs and demands of his constituents.
