Debbie Mucarsel-Powell lost her bid for reelection in 2020 after only serving one term in Congress, but Democrat groups and leaders are eyeing her possible comeback, according to Politico. She has recently received outspoken support from BOLD PAC, the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the UnidosUS Action Fund, and even a personal talk from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer .
BOLD PAC chairwoman Rep. Linda Sanchez argued that Mucarsel-Powell's life story, particularly her immigration to the United States, would resonate with voters. Despite the outpouring of support, the Florida Democrat hasn't yet made a decision on whether to run again.
