Delicious celebration of food draws crowds from near and far

BUTTERWORTH: An eighteen-year-old teenager was found dead after being electrocuted on an express bus at Penang Central here on Saturday.

GEORGE TOWN: Foodies found themselves in seventh heaven as the Penang International Food Festival @ Tanjong got off to a delicious start on Saturday .

Many made a beeline to vendors offering Penang's famous hawker fare, while others went for inventive offerings from some of the island's popular restaurants and cafes. Malaysian culinary celebrity Chef Zam was also on hand to share tips and recipes, while music and dance performances, both modern and traditional, kept crowds entertained.

The event was organised by the office of Tanjong MP Lim Hui Ying, with the support of the state government and various private and public entities.
