GEORGE TOWN: One of the oldest nasi kandar restaurants in the country has ceased to serve its meals at RM5 under Menu Rahmah after the cost of ingredients becomes “unbearable”. Hameediyah Restaurant director Muhammad Riyaaz Syed Ibrahim said it had to stop serving Menu Rahmah last month.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Defence Ministry is in the midst of procuring two Maritime Patrol Aircrafts from Italy that have the ability to detect the presence of submarines in the South China Sea area, especially in the Sabah region.

"We are also in the process of procurement, which has been approved by the National Security Council, to acquire another LRR that we will place in Pulau Layang-layang because the ones in Labuan cannot see that far. Meanwhile, Mohamad said the Radar Coastal Surveillance System has been installed at 13 locations covering the Kudat coast up to Tawau to monitor the east coast of Sabah.
