A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Dingri, Tibet, near the border with Nepal, on Tuesday morning, causing widespread damage and killing at least 53 people. The quake also triggered injuries to 62 people and was felt as far as Kathmandu, Nepal, and parts of India.
BEIJING : Angka korban akibat gempa bumi kuat yang melanda daerah Dingri, Tibet , awal pagi tadi meningkat kepada 53 orang.
Menurut Pusat Rangkaian Gempa Bumi China , gempa berukuran 6.8 skala Richter berlaku di daerah Dingri, berhampiran sempadan Nepal, pada pukul 9:05 pagi Menurut laporan oleh agensi berita rasmi China, Xinhua, sebanyak 53 orang dilaporkan terkorban, manakala 62 yang lain cedera setakat tengah hari tadi, selepas gempa tersebut menggoncang bandar Xigaze, Wilayah Autonomi Tibet .
Suhu di Dingri pada masa itu berada pada paras -8 darjah Celsius dan dijangka menurun hingga -18 darjah pada waktu malam, menurut Pentadbiran Meteorologi China.
