DC Comics takes aim at AOC comic for Wonder Woman outfit

DC Comics is demanding that a comic featuring US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez kitted out as Wonder Woman be recalled or destroyed.

On one of the comic's variant covers, Ocasio-Cortez, often known by her initials AOC, appears in Wonder Woman's iconic outfit, but with an 'A' where the 'W' would usually be.Artist Carla Cohen is behind the artwork, which DC reckons pretty flagrantly infringes on their copyright. — ComicBook NOW! May 17, 2019 The print run of the variant Wonder Woman cover was only set to be 250, but according to Bleeding Cool, DC is requesting that they are all 'recalled, returned or destroyed'.

One copy is listed for $899 , while others are receiving bids in excess of $400, but according to reports, those trying to sell the comics are also being contacted by DC with a similar cease and desist notice.
