DBI has been considering expanding in a project known as 8X that would expand its capacity for exporting metallurgical coal, but is unlikely to make a decision until the first half of 2024.

The company will pay a fourth-quarter dividend of 5.025¢ per share, taking its annual dividend to 19.185¢ per share. It reaffirmed guidance for dividends of 5.025¢ per share in the first and second quarters of calendar 2023.DBI’s shares, which listed in late 2020 at $2.57 per share but have always traded below their offer price, advanced 1.64 per cent to $2.48 on Monday.
