JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - New Zealand were left ruing their inability to finish off South Africa as they let slip a 10-point lead to lose their Rugby Championship clash at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Live host Nur Faiqah Balqis, who appeared in Orang Ulu traditional wear, attended the parade for the first time with her friend Nur Azyan Azrain and her husband Handri Saznayne.“I like to be special and show off my cultural look,” she beamed, adding that she owns three sets of traditional garments.“It’s interesting to put this on, and I get to know another culture better,” said Nur Azyan.

“As a Malaysian, Merdeka is one of the most important days and I feel an obligation to attend the parade.Trusty sidekicks: Some of the Fire and Rescue Department animals taking part in the parade. — Bernama Civil servant Suwaibah Said’s two children, aged six and eight, looked adorable in their mini soldier outfits.“Very early on my two kids had asked to dress up for the Merdeka parade, so we got the costumes for them,” their 38-year-old mum said with a smile.Japanese Suzu Kono, 21, said it was amazing to see the patriotic spirit in Malaysia.
