Daytona Beach police are asking for help identifying a man named a person of interest in the 'brutal' murders of a husband and wife over the weekend.
Yesterday investigators released surveillance video of a suspect whom they called a person of interest. The man was seen wearing a black hat and a scarf and carrying a black backpack. On Wednesday, the Daytona Beach Police Department shared pictures that more clearly show the same man’s face on its Facebook page.
The man was walking on Seabreeze Boulevard about 90 minutes before the attack happened, according to DBPD. The victims have been identified as Terry Aultman, 48, and his wife Brenda, 55. The couple’s daughter told Channel 9 that the couple had just moved into their dream home in Daytona Beach and she wants nothing more than their killer to be caught.
Brenda Aultman worked for Goodwill of North Florida since 2017, most recently as an assistant manager for the Palm Coast retail location. Terry Aultman worked at the fulfillment center at Amazon’s Deltona branch,Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young said the couple was riding their bicycles from Main Street when someone attacked them on Wild Olive Avenue about a mile and a half south of their home. Young said the scene was one of the most gruesome he had ever seen.
