Greg Biffle, who won at Daytona way back in 2003, is back in the 500 for the first time since 2016 — his last full-time season.
He has the win, three top-5 and nine top-10s at Daytona, and is driving a Richard Childress-built car with a Hendrick Motorsports engine. Suarez was ninth-fastest in Wednesday's qualifying and was impressive in his Daytona Duel, finishing 11th. More importantly, Suarez will be in better equipment this year after his team, Trackhouse Racing, bought out Chip Ganassi Racing last fall. The organization also brought in a teammate for Suarez, Ross Chastain, giving him someone to work with on Sunday.
