Daylight saving ends for most states and territories in Australia this weekend, with clocks to be turned back an hour. Here's what you need to know.
Residents in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory can look forward to one hour's extra sleep.This means there will be more sunlight in the morning, as sunrise will be an hour earlier. New Zealand also use Daylight Saving Time, along with Norfolk Island in the South Pacific Ocean which is located about 1,600km north-east of Sydney.With daylight savings ending, sunsets will be an hour earlier in the afternoons. Now DST has ended, there will only be three time zones across the country.
From Sunday, Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT will be on Australian Eastern Standard Time .
