Activities honoring the Day of the Dead took center stage in downtown Aurora Friday during the Aurora Downtown group’s First Fridays event.
A variety of activities were found throughout the downtown area at businesses as well as the Santori Public Library, the G.A.R. Military Museum and more. While the library included Dia de los Muertos art, a balloon fashion show, a Mexican folk dance, photo opportunities and music, the Water Street Mall area was equally alive with an Aztec ceremonial dance, live entertainment, food vendors and more.

We wanted to be a part of this as it’s a part of my culture and our heritage and I want to make sure I share that with my child and make sure she grows up with the same traditions that we did back in Mexico.
