Matt Lemmon accepted $72,000 up front for a job project. But he left the job unfinished for two years, officials say.

A volunteer firefighter captain who owns an HVAC business stole more than $36,000 from a Harrisburg business when he accepted $72,000 for a job but didn’t complete it, according to Dauphin County investigators.

Matt Lemmon, 26, of Harrisburg, is charged with theft by unlawfully taking movable property for stealing $36,361 on Sept. 12, 2020, according to the Dauphin County Criminal Investigations Division. The charges were filed Dec. 30 of 2022. Full Circle Music Inc. contracted Lemmon HVAC-R, LLC, to complete the job at their 2201 Woodlawn Street property, but Lemmon never completed the job, according to an affidavit filed by the CID.

Lemmon spent $35,638.84 on equipment that he sent to the property, but kept the remaining $36,361 and did not do any work to install the equipment, according to the affidavit.Full Circle Music, Inc. tried to contact Lemmon multiple times but he failed to return communication, according to the affidavit.
