PUTRAJAYA: Bekas Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib menafikan perbualan telefon di antaranya dengan bekas Pengerusi 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Tan Sri Mohd. Bakke Salleh sadalah untuk mempengaruhi Ahli Lembaga Pengarah syarikat itu berhubung usaha sama di antara 1MDB dan PetroSaudi International Ltd. (PSI).

PUTRAJAYA: Bekas Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib menafikan perbualan telefon di antaranya dengan bekas Pengerusi 1Malaysia Development Berhad , Tan Sri Mohd. Bakke Salleh sadalah untuk mempengaruhi Ahli Lembaga Pengarah syarikat itu berhubung usaha sama di antara 1MDB dan PetroSaudi International Ltd. .

“Saya bercakap dengan Bakke kerana tumpuan utama saya ketika itu adalah mengenai usahasama strategik kedua-dua negara. Pada ketika itu saya tidak mencurigai atau merasa pelik apabila Jho Low meminta saya bercakap dengan Bakke. Najib: Saya andaikan Lembaga Pengarah akan buat, Wong & Partners akan buat dan Jho Low akan taklimatkan mereka mengenai perkara yang perlu dibuat.

Bagaimanapun, usaha sama itu tidak dimasuki dengan PSI, sebaliknya melalui satu syarikat PetroSaudi Holding Ltd dan Tariq Obaid melaksanakan perjanjian bagi mewakili Petro Saudi . KPMG ketika itu belum menandatangani laporan audit 1MDB bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Mac 2013, kerana syarikat pelaburan strategik negara itu tidak memberikan maklumat yang diminta KPMG sejak April 2013.
