Datuk Nurul Hidayah, daughter of Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has been appointed to the board of directors of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The appointment, effective from January 2, 2025, to January 1, 2028, aims to bring UPM to a greater academic level.
PETALING JAYA: Datuk Nurul Hidayah, the daughter of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has been appointed to the board of directors of Universiti Putra Malaysia .
According to a letter sighted by The Star, it stated that,"We are pleased to appoint Datuk as a member of the Board of Directors of UPM, representing a composition of knowledgeable and experienced individuals in accordance with Section 18 of UPM's Constitution, for a period of three years effective from January 2, 2025, to January 1, 2028,"
The letter dated Jan 2, 2025, also extended congratulations to Nurul Hidayah for the appointment and hoped that the appointment will bring UPM to a greater academic level.
