The former NSW MP accused the media of a 'serious' privacy invasion after the corruption watchdog's report was released last week.

abc.net.au/news/daryl-maguire-icac-report-response/102554098Former New South Wales MP Daryl Maguire has made his first public comments since being found by the state's corruption watchdog to have engaged in "serious corrupt conduct" while in a secret relationship with former premier Gladys Berejiklian.

The watchdog also found she breached public trust when she promised funding for a recital hall at the Riverina Conservatorium of Music in Wagga Wagga in 2018, and that she was influenced by her relationship with Mr Maguire. In his first public statement since the ICAC's findings, Mr Maguire's lawyer Jim Harrowell released a statement on Monday saying he strongly denies all allegations relating to the Wagga Wagga projects.

"Likewise, the Riverina Conservatorium of Music funding was to secure a permanent home for the much-loved Con, which was soon to be homeless without a dollar to bless themselves with.Media accused of 'serious' privacy invasion "Further media continue to trespass on government-owned rail corridors which again is unsafe and illegal," the statement said.
